W-ork Pad with Dondola® – dynamic sitting at standing/sitting workstations
The W-ork Pad from WAGNER is the world's first swivel chair that has been specially developed for standing/sitting workstations and is equipped with the patented Dondola® seat joint. It enables agile working at variable seat heights and supports a healthy, active sitting posture. Both in the office and in meetings or creative working environments.
Dondola® – three-dimensional sitting for a healthy back
At the heart of all W-ork Pad models is the three-dimensional Dondola® seat joint, which is invisibly installed under the seat. It decouples the rigid connection between the seat and the chair base and continuously generates micro-movements while sitting. These promote the activation of the back muscles, relieve the spine and contribute to long-term back health.
The health benefits of the Dondola® principle have been scientifically proven: as early as 2006, a clinical study with 74 test subjects confirmed positive effects. Another extensive study from 2013 showed impressive results, including:
• 66% reduction in pain
• 50% reduction in everyday limitations
• Up to 39% increase in general well-being
Ergonomics through elevated sitting
Sitting in an elevated, slightly forward-leaning position with an open body angle improves the position of the pelvis and reduces strain on the intervertebral discs. This significantly relieves pressure on the lumbar spine, keeps the upper body upright and allows for deeper breathing thanks to a relaxed abdominal area. It also promotes blood circulation, which increases concentration and performance and supports agile working.
Sustainability and materials
With the W-ork Pad Green, WAGNER is sending a clear signal for sustainability. The Nautilus fabric used is made from 100% recycled polyester and is Seaqual certified. The material is obtained from recycled marine plastic and PET bottles and is available in black (NT0) and green (NT5).
The W-ork Pad models at a glance
W-ork Pad Low
With a maximum seat height of 65 cm, the W-Ork Pad low offers complete variability when sitting. Thanks to its lower gas spring, it is suitable for both standing and sitting work as well as for classic sitting workstations or meetings. The integrated Dondola® seat joint also ensures active, dynamic sitting.
W-ork Pad High
The W-ork Pad high allows a seat height of approx. 59-78 cm and specifically promotes sitting in an elevated, forward-leaning posture. This position increases concentration and performance and, thanks to Dondola® technology, also supports an ergonomic sitting posture, ideal for modern, dynamic workplaces.
W-ork Pad high+
The W-ork Pad high + is the ideal solution for meetings at high tables. It makes meetings more efficient and productive and supports working while standing or sitting in an elevated position. This version is also equipped with the Dondola® seat joint. A foot ring can also be attached as an option.
