VOUW (pronounced: vow) is an Amsterdam-based design studio working at the crossroads of art and technology . Founded in 2017 by Mingus Vogel and Justus Bruns, we are pioneers in Slowtech : design that slows people down to bring them together in the real world . While technology often demands our constant attention and acceleration, we believe it should enhance what makes us human and happy . Our work—ranging from site-specific light installations like City Gazing to social seating like Chairwave —prioritizes patience and humanity over mere efficiency . At Ambiente, we are proud to present Bloomlight S , an intimate evolution of our iconic interactive street lantern . Taking inspiration from nature, Bloomlight S reacts to your presence like an organic creature—gently bending to greet you and unfurling a bloom of warm light . It is a living object designed for the home, turning a simple function into a quiet moment of connection . All our work is imagined, designed, and produced in-house at our studio in Amsterdam .
