For Vista Alegre, the year 2024 will be a remarkable year of celebration, with new products promising to set design standards while maintaining the brand's commitment to excellence. As we celebrate the brands' 200th anniversary, we unveil the narratives, legends, and crucial moments that have molded Vista Alegre into the innovative and timeless brand we know today. A global luxury brand, designing and manufacturing the finest dinnerware and decorative porcelain and premium handmade crystal. Established in Portugal in 1824 in Ílhavo, in the northern coastal region of the country, the Vista Alegre is part of Portugal's legacy, standing out for its significant role in shaping the cultural and social landscape of the country for the past two centuries. In 2001, the Vista Alegre Group (porcelain, earthenware, and stoneware) merged with the Atlantis Group (renowned for handmade crystal and high-quality glass), establishing one of the largest tableware and giftware groups in Europe: the Vista Alegre Atlantis Group (VAA). At the year 2015, Vista Alegre undertook a comprehensive restoration of the historical "Lugar da Vista Alegre," which dates back to its foundation. This restoration included the museum, chapel, theater, and kindergarten. Subsequently, in 2018, this restoration project received the "RegioStars" prize from the European Commission. This prestigious award acknowledges outstanding projects within the European Union, placing emphasis on innovative and best practices in regional development. The exceptional quality of Vista Alegre products results from the combination of modern technologies with years of handcraft expertise as well as the company's regular collaborations with renowned artists in contemporary design, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, and other forms of art, have contributed with their talent to numerous creations associated with the Vista Alegre brand: Siza Vieira, Joana Vasconcelos, Patrick Norguet, Ross Lovegrove, Marcel Wanders, Jaime Hayon, Malangatana, Sempé, Brunno Jahara, Sam Baron, including the French brand Christian Lacroix, and the Oscar de la Renta brand are among the artists and designers collaborating with Vista Alegre. The brands' dinning sets are officially used by the President of the Portuguese Republic, the White House, several Royal Houses, and by many personalities worldwide. Vista Alegre also supplies official tableware to several embassies around the world, including Brazil, Spain, and Morocco, as well as other national and international public and private institutions.
