Pioneering spirit within the automotive group: zweitwerk is a Volkswagen Group internal start-up. Our motivation is to find creative ideas for employing high-quality materials which cannot be used in the manufacture of automobiles. Each of our design objects was originally produced for its specific function as a component, and each has its individual history which becomes part of the new object. New role for unused materials: Recovering materials before their disposal. Finding a new use for them. That is the idea behind zweitwerk . We create our design objects from materials viewed as rejects by the automobile industry despite being flawless. We add value to the components, identifying their outstanding qualities and transforming them into unique objects for your home, your office or while out and about.
