Wendt & Kühn KG
Wendt & Kühn has stood for fine German craftsmanship in ist most beautiful for since 1915. Company Founder Grete Wendt (1887–1979) and designer Olly Wendt, née Sommer, (1896–1991), both graduates of the Royal Saxon School of Applied Art in Dresden, created a Wealth of unique wooden figurines and music boxes. Decade after decade saw continual furthering of the mastery and the craftsmanship of figurine production. Today, Claudia Baer, née Wendt, and her brother Dr. Florian Wendt guide the destiny of the Family company: thinking ahead to the future while at the same time firmly committed to the fundamental traditional values. This includes keeping production faithful to the more than 3000 original samples left by company founder Grete Wendt and designer Olly Wendt. This principle has remained our highest priority to the present day and at the same time what separates our traditional workshops from our competitors. Enabling the unmistakable Character of our figurines to continue to radiate beauty, artisanry, Tradition and exclusivity. Grünhainichen Angels®, Blossom Kinder and music boxes – responsibly managing the Wendt & Kühn legacy bridges the gap between past and present. More than 3000 figurine designs reflect the seemingly unlimited creative prowess of the designers. The manufactory is still drawing from this treasure trove today. The current Wendt & Kühn collection encompasses over 400 articles in eight different product groups – figurines for every season and occasion.
