A New Challenge: The Birth of "shitatari" A passion sparked within us: "Could we transform this industrial technology into an object of beauty that enriches everyday life?" This question drove us to a new challenge. We decided to transcend our boundaries as a B2B component manufacturer and launch our own brand. Through a fateful collaboration with product designer Mr. Kosuke Suzuki, our technical mastery merged seamlessly with his elegant design, giving birth to the revolutionary sake vessel: "shitatari." The "shitatari" Philosophy: Savoring Beauty with All Senses "shitatari" is more than just a cup; it is an instrument for experiencing sake with all five senses. Sight: Meticulously machined from a solid block of stainless steel and polished to a flawless mirror finish, it accentuates the clarity of the sake and reflects light beautifully. Sensation: The pinnacle of our precision technology is the incredibly thin rim. It delivers an unprecedented sensation—so smooth that you barely feel the cup, allowing the sake to flow effortlessly onto your palate. The Ritual: When the cup is placed back on its saucer, a single, final drop gracefully falls—shitatari. The beauty of this lingering moment and the ripple it creates is an integral part of the design. In 2023, this fusion of technology and aesthetics was honored by being selected as an official gift presented by the Japanese government to ministers at the G7 Trade Ministers' Meeting in Osaka-Sakai.
