CORR-The Jute Works

CORR-The Jute Works (A Trust Of Caritas Bangladesh) CORR-The Jute Works (CJW) is a charitable trust established on September 2, 1973 for marketing women's handicrafts. It is the pioneer member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). Since last glorious 51 years, CJW worked for the war affected, underprivileged, widow, marginalized and socially neglected rural women artisans creating a supplementary source of income and ensure their social dignity aiming a communal society with mutual love, respect and justice. With its in-house design team CJW develop its own crafts on a seasonal basis and is also experienced in development and execution of custom-made designs. Though traditionally there has been a strong emphasis on the use of jute. CJW also uses other materials such as silk, cotton, sea grass, clay/terracotta and upcycle materials like Sharee. At Ambiente Fair, CJW will show its latest range of jute, cotton, jute and cotton mixed fabric, upcycle materials like Sharee crafts.
