Design Story: From Waste to a Fluted Icon

Canelé stool begins with a simple question: can waste feel like design?

Inspired by the canelé pastry of Bordeaux, which was born from turning leftover egg yolks into a small cultural icon, we follow the same spirit of reuse.
We transform discarded banners and recycled PET into a dense, mono-material form with a distinctive fluted silhouette that enhances strength, stability, and tactile comfort.

A brand yellow color and stitch mark provenance, stacking orientation, and the path back to the loop.
Light, stackable, recyclable, and unexpectedly playful, Canelé transforms overlooked materials into everyday comfort.
