EDONIST is a range of fully forged knives which means that each knife blade, bolster and tang is hot forged within a solid round steel bar at a 1000°C 2012°F temperature under a sledghammer and heat treated, providing a uniform mollecular structure and great durability.
The EDONIST uses a 4116N Steel : a professional cutlery grade stainless steel featuring 0,5% of Carbon, 15 % of Chromium as well as Vanadium and Molybdenum enriched with Nitrogen to provide additional mechanical strength.
