Tafla Mirror Stainless Steel
Polished steel mirrors unique collection
TAFLA is a series of bionic mirrors of organic shapes inspired by natural shapes of liquid drops. Mirrors from the TAFLA collection are made of stainless steel polished to a high gloss and come in seven different sizes. They can be arranged in an artistic personalized composition or exposed on a wall as a single sculpture-like mirror. They will fit contemporary private spaces, as well as restaurants, bars and hotel rooms. You can enjoy the charm of the classic Inox finish or a colour selected from the available palette. The TAFLA mirror looks mesmerizing as a single object, but also in layouts that make up constellations of them.
TAFLA mirrors combine unique forms and bionic aesthetics with the high-tech parameters of Inox steel.
Mirrors designed by Zieta Studio are not just objects that reflect reality and adorn the interior, amplifying it optically. Such objects as TAFLA are tridimensional designer mirrors worthy of the best contemporary living spaces. They are destined to be composed into fantastic wall decorations—it’s up to you what kind of installation you create on the wall. While a single TAFLA mirror makes a statement in the interior, multiple TAFLA mirrors in various sizes and shapes add even more style.
Curating experiences with light
Our exploration of light led to a natural fusion of illumination and reflection. This synergy gave birth to the Zieta LED Mirrors—hypnotic wall objects enhanced with integrated lighting. Witness the mesmerizing interplay of light and reflection in Tafla mirrors, now available with a backlit LED panel.
Refractions and reflections on mirrored metal surfaces
On the polished surface of the TAFLA mirrors, all steel refractions are perfectly visible—the artistic effect of the “controlled loss of control” process of shaping their form. Each convexity visible on this wall mirror’s surface is unique, because steel never deforms in exactly the same way.
Zieta Constellations
The objects that constitute the ZIETA universe function not only as independent works of art, but take on a stellar dimension when arranged together in larger sets. Bounded by common gravity and revolving along mutual orbits, they can create astonishing compositions. The closeness between the elements enlivens the steel surfaces with luminous interactions that multiply reflections and refract lights. They have been codified, dimensioned and laid out on standard walls to facilitate the choice of the best composition for your interior.
Tafla Family
TAFLA metal mirrors come in numerous shapes and sizes: from large round mirrors to geometric smaller sculptural forms. TAFLA O, TAFLA C and TAFLA Q are artistic variations of the same concept of creating a decorative sculptural mirror out of inflated steel using the FiDU technology. Some of them are characterized by a minimalist simplicity and respect for proportions, while some are distinguished by a soft line of organic form. There is such a diversity that arranging them together is reminiscent of storytelling. Will it be a story of water drops or pieces of shattered glass immortalized on the wall? It is a question of space and imagination.
Tafla mirrors are a series of common geometric forms with a sophisticated twist. Their bionic shapes were inspired by drops of water, piles of stones, pieces of wood and shards of rock. They can be arranged in multiple sets that give another dimension to an interior and create a unique story on the wall.
Zieta Studio’s “free deformation” process of creation results in Tafla’s extravagant elegance, which emphasizes the true nature of metal. The aim was to facilitate a geometric irregularity that exudes calm.
Strong character and deep colour
The Aurum Collection is the result of experimental techniques in lacquering and coating steel surfaces, culminating in six distinct gold tones. Each tells its own visual story across the wall.
The Gradient and Transitions Collections combine exceptional depth and unparalleled reflections of the colourized surfaces. Soft transitions between colours provide viewers intense visual experiences. A change of point of view leads to a change in colour perception.
Mirrors from the Gradient and Transitions series are made of stainless steel, polished to a mirror finish and covered with a special lacquer, creating on their surface a unique composition of colours with exceptional depth and unparalleled reflections. Colourization of smooth surfaces is not an easy task. Research on dying techniques and selecting the proper materials took long months. Numerous trials and tests resulted in mastering a formula of proper saturation, adhesion and durability. A special painting technique allows us to apply a proper coat and create a colourful gradient.
Gradient of Emerald & Sapphire
This collection provides unprecedented depth of visual experience and mirror surfaces. The surface features a blend of colours offered by the sea and skies. This proposed collision of shades elevates the narrative in the space to unknown levels of experience.
Deep Space Blue
Deep, dark, blue—just intriguing. This unique finish takes spectators on an unexpected journey into an undiscovered world of reflections. The mirror resembles cosmic wonders and at the same time can be fitted with the most demanding and elegant interiors.
Red Rubin—Interplanetary strolls
Ruby red in the centre and dark, almost black, at the edges, the Red Rubin mirrors allude to the colour of the planet Mars and to one of the most precious cardinal gemstones on the planet Earth, the blood-red ruby.
Dark Matter—Cosmic wonders
A transition between deep dark black colour and transparent lacquer creates an effect of colour dispersion from the edges of the object to its centre. From black, to grey tones, the colour disappears and leaves the way to the pure polished Inox steel.
Helix Nebula
The longer and deeper we uncover the mysteries of the universe, the more hues and shades we discover. Helix Nebula is a concept combining the beauty of reflections of polished steel with the perceptual depth of optical treatments. It is a gradient interpretation of planetary nebulae shades reflected on the surfaces of our objects.
The combination of energetic colours has an extraordinary effect, creating a strong, even vibrant colour spectacle. The intense colouring is accompanied by a feeling of harmony and purity of form, which gives an almost hypnotic effect. The created illusion offers the opportunity to move directly into the immersive boundlessness of space.
And last but not least - The Cotton Candy collection is a certain manifesto of expressive matte. Shifting our classic high-polished Inox objects into matte shades unraveled unexplored chapters of a new interpretation of shine.
