The fabrics in our jute collection are made from a blend of organic cotton and organic jute.
Jute is a natural plant material, biodegradable and recyclable.
As for our organic cotton, it is GOTS certified, which guarantees in particular:
The biological origin of textiles;
Environmentally friendly production and transformation processes;
Respect and improvement of working conditions.
Ethical manufacturing :
All our bags and accessories are manufactured by our Indian NGO partner Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute (SSMI) which fights for the emancipation of women in an underprivileged neighborhood of DELHI. These women make textile accessories in exchange for a salary 3x higher than the average Indian salary, training and a place at school for their children.
